“Small decorated house”
3D- Modélisation - 2023
This project was an assignment in the 3D course. We had to reproduce a 2D interior design in 3D while adhering to the technical and graphical constraints of the project:
- Adding simple lighting to add ambiance;
- Using colored lights;
- Adding an AO shader in Maya;
- Creating an Arnold render;
- Creating a Toon render;
- Photoshop rendering with text.

1 - Creation - Walls/Locations
I first created the walls to have the basic structure and then be able to place my elements. After that, I positioned each cube, which I would later replace with the furniture, in the structure.
2 - Création - Furniture
Then I created the furniture, from largest to smallest, trying to be as accurate as possible with the photo. I first modeled them from the side, then integrated them into the scene by replacing the cube and adjusting them to fit the scene.
Here are some pieces of furniture:
3 - Création - Decoration
I ended up creating as many details as possible: flowers, cup, medal, clothing… I had to be as precise as possible and stick as closely as possible to the 2D scene.
Here are some details:
4 - Renderings - Toon
We had to do a toon rendering, that is, do a 2D rendering with the 3D scene.
5 - Renderings - AO
There also had to be an AO rendering, for this I added a simple shader to my 3D scene.
6 - Renderings - Arnold
And we finished with an Arnold render, which is a classic render on Maya.
